To pull dock sections out of the water, use 2″ x 8″ boards, place them on the ground to create a ramp on which you will slide the docks. The layer of algae or seaweed that will have formed under the floats will help you lift them out of the water.

In general, a dock height at the top of less than 12″ above the water is probably about the minimum. Some people like their docks very high, but 24″ above the water would be an awful lot.

Can I use a Shoreway ramp on a roll in dock?
The shoreway ramp has a bridge truss structure to match your roll-in dock sections and can be used with or without wheel kits. With wheels, it can be independently adjusted and moved around like other sections. Without wheels it stores compactly on top of a roll in dock section. Shoreways also work well as ramps on floating dock systems.
