Is ProForm a good brand rower?
ProForm has built a pretty good reputation in the last ten years in the low to mid-price range of home fitness equipment. About a year ago we tried their first rower and we’re quite impressed with the build-quality for a budget mode – see Proform 440R for that review.

The rower can be stored in a folded position to con- serve space. Store the rower in a location where children cannot tip it. Unplug the power adapter when storing the rower for extended periods of time. To store the rower, first slide the Seat (H) to the rear of the Rail (I).

The console itself is completely locked and they tell you repeatedly to signup to iFit to unlock. If you go to the Activate area for iFit to unlock your rower they want your credit card and you only get 30 days free not 1 year like it was advertised.

Are proform treadmills any good?
I have a ProForm treadmill as well. The ProForm products are a good value but you’re not going to get the top of the line in exercise equipment with the ProForms – you get what you pay for. If you’re not rough with the ProForms they will last but they are not what you’d find in a gym.
What’s your biggest complaint with proform?
My biggest complaint as typical with ProForm is the resistance is fairly light. Trying this rower for the first time I thought this is pretty good, a nice starting resistance and then found the dial was set to highest resistance.
Are proform products worth the money?
The ProForm products are a good value but you’re not going to get the top of the line in exercise equipment with the ProForms – you get what you pay for. If you’re not rough with the ProForms they will last but they are not what you’d find in a gym.
