To access the internet, you have two options: rent AT compatible modems, or purchase your own AT-compatible modem and router. If you choose to rent your equipment from AT, the company will provide you with an AT internet modem that connects to an ethernet DSL cable that the company installs.

Can you add a router to an ATT modem?

It’s a pretty simple process that mostly involves just plugging in your new router to the Gateway. You’ll then need to access your Gateway settings (usually by logging in to 192.168. 1.254) and disable the Wi-Fi from your Gateway, so the two signals won’t interfere with each other.
