What is RX load?

What is RX load?

Hello , Rx load is nothing but the amount of traffic you are receiving on that particular wan interface. Rxload 80/255 means you are getting almost all 2.4Mbps from outside.Txload means the amount of traffice which is going out from your network.

What are the reliability 255 255 for?

The overall reliability or load of an interface at a given point in time can be measured by the txload/rxload a fractional ( 255/255 = 100% ) calculation over a default average of 5 minutes. For example lets say we had an interface that was completely saturated at 100% capacity over a given period of time.

How do you know if an interface is reliable?

Reliability is calculated like this: reliability = number of packets / number of total frames. The value of 255 is the highest value meaning that the interface is very reliable at the moment. The calculation above is done every 5 minutes.

What is Tx and Rx in WIFI?

TX and RX are abbreviations for Transmit and Receive, respectively. Note that these metrics are referenced to the server being monitored; Transmit FROM this server, and Receive TO this server.

What causes interface errors?

Note: There are several potential sources of interface errors, including interface discards when there is insufficient bandwidth to support the traffic volume, misconfigured duplex and speed settings, excessive buffering on interfaces, misconfigured EtherChannels, and faulty cables or hardware.

What causes giant packets?

Per Cisco the giant frames were caused by the dot1q header causing the Frames to exceed the 1500 bytes MTU size by causing the Frame to be 1522 bytes. From Cisco TAC: The counters for the giant do not indicate any error however are just informational.

What is reliability Cisco?

and this: “Reliability is calculated using the following formula: reliability = number of errors / number of total frames “

What is Rx in router?

RX means received and TX means transmitted, however remember these directions are based on the interface they are being read from. For example, an upload from your computer is transmitted traffic (TX), but looking from your router that traffic has just arrived on an interface so it is measured as received traffic (RX).

What is TX and RX packets?

RX packets is a total number of packets received. RX errors shows a total number of packets received with error. TX packets is total number of packets transmitted. TX errors , TX dropped and TX overruns are similar to RX equivalents.

What is Rx in Internet?

What causes link flapping?

Link flap is a condition where a communications link alternates between up and down states. Link flap can be caused by end station reboots, power-saving features, incorrect duplex configuration or marginal connections and signal integrity issues on the link.

What are interface counters?

The Reports > Diagnostics > Interface Counters report summarizes the statistics for the primary and auxiliary interfaces. It also displays the IP address, speed, duplex, MAC address, and current status of each interface.
