Can you leave second skin on too long?
Really the first 48 hours are the most beneficial to the healing process, but as a rule of thumb the longer you can leave it on, the easier of a heal you’ll have (no more than six days though!). After the bandage is removed continue on with any further aftercare your tattooer recommends.
How long should I leave second skin on?
Remove the bandage after 2 to 3 hours unless SecondSkin is used –keep SecondSkin on for 2-3 DAYS. Wash the tattoo area with lukewarm water and gentle soap. Pat dry with a clean paper towel.
